Harbour Kids 

After School Programme

14 July - 19 September

Term 3 is underway for the Harbour Kids afterschool programme with our wonderful local educator Aki.
The programme runs at the school Monday to Friday from 3-5:30pm keeping the kids engaged with quizzes, crafts, cooking, games and play.

Side Orders Fridays

Each Friday lunchtime the kids have an opportunity to buy an organised hot lunch item.
It is structured in a way to teach the tamariki about money, the activity buying and selling and helps to support their maths learning.

West Harbour Sports Day

Tuesday 14 October

Excitement! This year's annual West Harbour Spot's Day we are trying something different! 

It will be held at the Forsyth Barr Stadium and focus on giving tamariki the chance to try a diverse range of sports and physical activities over the course of the day at a world class venue.
We look forward to seeing you all at the Forsyth Barr Stadium for a day of fun, energy and celebration of sport in all its forms.

Halloween Disco!
Thursday 30 October

Witches, superheroes, ghouls, and fairies—prepare yourselves for the most fang-tastic night of the year!

The Halloween Disco is creeping up in Term 4, and you’re on our list of special guests.
We can’t wait to see you—and all your monster friends—on the dance floor!

Science Roadshow
Monday 3 November

This is an awesome opportunity for our Senior class to head to Bathgate School to experience hands-on Science shows and interactives.  

The Science Roadshow provides a unique, informal learning opportunity that supports our STEAM learning.

Ravensbourne School is a Kiwileles School!

We have been practicing through the year for the big Hui Ukurere hosted at George Street Normal School where kids from around the city will pluck, strum and jam together in concert.

We are planning an action packed three days of activities and visits to Orokonui Ecosanctuary and a sleepover at Tūhura Otago Museum.

The Coupland's pie fundraiser is a regular winter warmer!

Every mouthwatering pie you buy means a donation of $1 to $1.50 goes directly to participating schools.

Ravensbourne and the wider West Harbour is a great place for families with lots of services, events and opportunities to connect and find support in the local community here are some below... 

MURRAY MCGEORGE TOY LIBRARY

The toy library is an exciting place that lends out a phenomenal selection of toys, puzzles, games, that cater for children at every stage of their development.

It is a space that serves as both a rental shop and a valuable space for families to meet and play. 


With toy libraries, kids can enjoy fresh and fun toys every week or two, helping parents save money while keeping boredom at bay!

OPPORTUNITY: 
FUTSAL TEAM 

We are putting together a team for those interested in playing.

Futsal is played in Term 1 and Term 4

Year 3-4 Futsal is played on Tuesday and Year 5-6 play Wednesday afternoons.

The venue is the Edgar Centre

  

8-week competition

Tuesdays, 15 October – 3 December

Game times: 3:45 PM – 6:00 PM

Cost: $40  per player

Recommended team size: 8 children
